Statement of Faith
Bible
We believe that the Bible was written by men who were divinely inspired, that it has God as its ultimate author, salvation as its end, and truth without any error; that it reveals the standards by which God will judge the world; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of time, the true centre of Christian faith, and the objective standard by which everything should be tested.
God
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; indescribably glorious in his holiness, and worthy of all possible worship, honour, confidence, and love. We believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy spirit; equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious roles in the great work of saving man.
Man
We believe that Man was created in the image of God to be in a relationship of mutual love with God, but because of sin Man destroyed the relationship they had with God. Now all mankind are sinners, not by constraint but choice; by nature not having the holiness required by the law of God, positively inclined to evil; and therefore under just condemnation to hell, without defence or excuse.
Salvation
We believe that the salvation of all people is only by grace; through the mediation of Jesus Christ the Son of God; who the Father sent. Jesus freely took upon himself our nature, yet was without sin, and by his death on the cross made a full atonement for our sins. Having taken the punishment that was ours, he then rose from the dead and is now enthroned in heaven, because of his humanity and divinity, he is in every way qualified to be a suitable, a compassionate, and an all-sufficient Saviour.
Justification
We believe in his death and resurrection Jesus secures, for those who love Him Justification. Justification includes the pardon of sin, reconciliation with God and the promise of eternal life. It is bestowed, not because of anything which we have done, but only through faith in Jesus’ death on the cross, in which His perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God. Justification brings us into a right relationship of peace and favour with God, and secures every blessing that we need for this life or the next.
Salvation is free
We believe that salvation is free to all by the gospel and that it is the immediate duty of all people to accept this salvation by a loving and obedient faith and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth, but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the gospel, which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation.
Regeneration
We believe that, in order to be saved, sinners must be born again. This is called regeneration. Regeneration consists in a renewal of the mind, that it is effected in a way that is outside human knowledge by the power of the Holy Spirit, in connection with divine truth, so as to secure our voluntary and loving obedience to the gospel; and that its proper evidence appears in the fruits of repentance, faith, and newness of life.
Repentance And Faith
We believe that Repentance and Faith are sacred gifts from our loving heavenly father, given by the regenerating Spirit of God, in which we are deeply convinced of our guilt, danger and helplessness, and of the way of salvation only by Jesus. We turn to God with real remorse, confession, and plea for mercy and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Prophet, Priest and King, and we rely on Him alone as the only and all sufficient Saviour.
Election
We believe that Election is the eternal purpose of God, according to which He graciously regenerates, sanctifies, and saves sinners. That being perfectly consistent with the free will of man, it comprehends all the means in connection with the end; that it is a most glorious display of God’s sovereign goodness, being infinitely free, wise, holy and unchangeable. That it utterly excludes boasting, and promotes humility, love, prayer, praise, trust in God, and active imitation of his free mercy. That it encourages holy living in the highest degree. That it may be seen by its effects in all who truly believe the Gospel. That it is the foundation of Christian assurance and that to ascertain it with regard to ourselves demands and deserves the utmost diligence.
Sanctification
We believe that Sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made to be holy like Jesus. Sanctification is a progressive work that began in regeneration and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and in the continual use of certain spiritual disciplines, especially, the reading of and meditating on the word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness and prayer.
The Perseverance Of Saints
We believe only the elect of God endure in the faith of Jesus till then the end. Their perseverance in Christ is the mark which distinguishes them from superficial believers. That God in his Providence watches over their welfare and they are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.
Church
We believe that a visible church of Christ is a congregation of believers and lovers of Jesus, obedient to Christ, governed by His laws and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges given to them by His word. That its only scriptural officers are Bishops or Pastors, Elders and Deacons, whose qualifications, claims, and duties are defined in the Epistles to Timothy and Titus.
Baptism
We believe that Christian Baptism is a symbolic act involving the sprinkling of or immersion in water of a believer, into the name of the Father, and Son, and Holy Ghost. This is a symbol of our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, and that Jesus’ death and resurrection has achieved our death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
The Lord’s Supper
We believe that in Communion the members of the church by the eating of bread and drinking of wine, are to remember together the dying love of Christ. This is always preceded by real and deep self-examination.
Christians And Non Christians
We believe that there is a radical and essential difference between Christians and Non Christians. That only those justified through faith in the name of the Lord Jesus, and sanctified by the Spirit of our God, are truly righteous in Gods sight. All people who continue in sin and unbelief are in His sight unrighteous, and under the curse. This distinction holds among men both in and after death.
Of The World To Come
We believe that the end of the world is approaching; that at the last day Christ will descend from heaven, and raise the dead from the grave to final judgement. That Jesus will separate the wheat from the chaff; that the wicked will be condemned to endless punishment, and the righteous because of their salvation in Jesus with be ushered into heaven and that this judgment will fix forever the final place of men in heaven or hell.

Why do you believe sprinkling to be the same thing as full immersion baptism? Doesn’t the Greek NT word for baptise mean to immerse?
