We want to see a flood of people become Christians and be sent out to plant churches throughout Sydney, Australia and the world.

About Us

People form communities around all different things. Some people form communities around an idea, others around a hobby, and others around an identity. Resolved is a community formed around a person and it is that person, Jesus, who informs everything we do.

We are a community who seeks to be in a constant, hope giving, joy filled conversation with Jesus. We believe that he was not only the most significant human being ever to enter our world but he was God in the flesh that died in order to bridge the gap between us and God.

Because of all he has done we seek to live in response to his great love, tell the world of his great love and bring others to know , serve and love him because of his great love shown to them.

If you came to Resolved you wouldn’t see people who were much different from you. But you would see a community that embraces the life that Jesus gives us and therefore we are a community defined by grace, overflowing with joy and full of hope for the future.

We invite you to come and experience our community but more importantly enter into a conversation with Jesus that will not only change and shape your life but it will give you joy in the present and a hope for the future.

To help all people see the glory and beauty of Jesus and his gospel so they would joyfully grow to know, serve and love him in all their lives.

I’m not a Christian – am I welcome?

Very much so! We would love for you to hear about Jesus and our church service is a great place for this.

What time should I arrive?

The service starts at the advertised time. Feel free to arrive earlier and talk to some friendly people.

How to get there?

You can drive but parking is pretty horrendous in the area. We are just across from the Newtown train station and are along major bus routes too. You should see a sign out the front of the Neighbourhood Centre with the Resolved logo. We are up the set of stairs and through the first glass doors.

How long does the service go for?

Services generally run between 60-90 minutes.

What should I wear?

Feel free to wear whatever you want. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. On a scale of singlets and thongs to a full business suit we are much closer to the singlet and thongs.

Where do I sit?

You can sit wherever you like. There is always plenty of seating for everybody.

What happens during the service?

Some things may change between services but there are many common elements. Each week we sing some songs, pray, read the bible and hear a talk from the bible.

What participation is required?

No participation is required. You won’t be singled out during service and are free to leave whenever you want.

Are children welcome?

Kids are most definitely welcome. There is Kid’s Church catered for kids from the age of 1 and over during the service. However parents are more than welcome to take their babies into the Kid’s Church room and stay with them.

There is wheelchair access in the building. There is a slight incline to the front door and there is an elevator to the second floor where Resolved is held.
